A quick little study for a HUGE piece that I'm working on.

The colors and brush strokes got a little weird in the scanner! The original colors are much brighter--the hair is electric lime on both in person!

My radiators have been lethargic during this very cold and snowy week--this piece is probably a result of some wishful thinking.

I had a wild dream the other night about staying in some hotel with a bunch of my friends--long story short, we took the elevator down to the lobby and when we pulled aside the gate, this is what I saw. The moment that I woke up I started sketching and writing down exactly what I remembered---it's sort of a mix between some of the Mexican block parties that I went to as a kid and my experience in Paris this summer!

Here is the promised catch-up post from this summer:

Taught a handful of youth art classes at Paint Yourself Silly in Lincoln, Nebraska. Almost all of the things that I taught were already picked out for me--funny stuff like hamburger plates. I told the kids that they should jazz their burgers up with whatever they wanted--purple buns! Fangs! Pink cheese! Eyeballs! Ultimately, they all added eyeballs and the little boy on the right made his cheese into fangs. AWESOME. I don't know how pleased the parents were, but who cares? We had tons of fun.

A soap pump that I made for the aforementioned Paint Yourself Silly.

Sketchbook doodle, which ultimately led to the sketch for "Floral Fondle." I'm almost done inking. You'll see it soon, promise.

Hey all! I've been working hardcore at my Mom's pottery shop in order to save up for a trip to visit England in the spring, so needless to say, I haven't been here much!

Illustration related news: I have an internship at the MPLS Children's Theatre Co. doing various illustrations for them and I just got back from the Twin Cities Zine Fest, which was lots of fun as per usual!

Before I scan all of the stuff that I've been doing, I'll post some stuff that I think is REALLY COOL:

Miss L Fire shoes from London, England! I was fixin' to buy the khaki-ish version of these, but can't find them. I think that I'll save my pennies for the baby blues instead.

I love love love Yee-haw Industries and am looking forward to their booth at the Kentuck festival in Alabama if (cross your fingers) I get to go.
